IT Project Manager

In an effort to further spur our growth, we are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team!  The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the planning, execution and delivery of software projects. The Project Manager manages end-to-end project effort with oversight of analysis and development resources while encouraging the relationship between technology and business peers at the project level.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple major development projects including creation of project scope, goals, work plans, timelines, deliverables, and implementation strategies
  • Deliver clear, accurate and timely business requirements and functional specifications by directly working with both internal users and external clients
  • Develop project presentations, status reports, and measurement processes/standards 
  • Create cost benefit analysis and return on investment cases for individual projects
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans and monitors project results for significant deviations
  • Facilitate, present and communicate effectively to all levels in the organization
  • Function as an active and visible resource across the organization as a Project Manager who can lead teams to improve performance and accelerate change
  • Understand the customer work flow processes and identify improvements
  • Manage resources and key stakeholders required to successfully execute projects
  • Build very close relationships with business process owners to understand their issues, get buy in for improvement opportunities, and become their “trusted advisor” to help them improve their processes
  • Participate, when necessary, in the design and/or testing phases

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in IT-related field of study
  • 3+ years software project management experience preferred - experience in a Java/Oracle development environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of at least one structured programming language
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects from inception to implementation and ensure that project deliverables meet the project objective, on time, within budget and required level of quality.
  •  Experience in in agile environment
  • Strong analysis skills, including experience analyzing business processes and making process improvement recommendations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across business and technical audiences
  • Customer service orientation, and strong interpersonal skills to establish relationships across business and IT team members
  • PMP certification, a plus
