In an effort to further spur our growth, we are currently seeking an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team!

The DBA is primarily responsible for the creation and maintenance of all databases required for development, testing, and production usage needed for proprietary in house java applications.

The DBA will work closely with the systems administration team in supporting all relevant database infrastructure in a high-availability, 24x7 production environment . The DBA will play a pivotal role in defining expectations for usage of the systems in place, and for the design of new ones.  Additionally, the DBA serves as the point of contact for Oracle Corporation.


  • Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and patching procedures.
  • Develop and implement replication, archiving and backup and recovery strategies (DR Failover testing capabilities).
  • Resolve locking conflicts/blocking and resource utilization
  • Ensure, along with the Application Developers and System Administrators, that new product usage or release upgrades takes place with minimal impact.
  • Administer all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages and procedures.
  • Assist with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects.
  • Perform both Oracle and operating system performance monitoring and implements necessary adjustments.
  • Provide strategic database direction for the organization.
  • Migrate code and make database changes with proper change control documentation.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field, preferred and a minimum of 3 years  experience preferred or a combination of education and experience.

  • Capacity planning
  • Oracle E-Business Suite Oracle Financials Oracle Fusion Middleware stack, including WebLogic, preferred
  • Database Encryption and Enterprise Key Management (Oracle Enterprise Functionality)
  • Backup and recovery via RMAN, tape, dedupe and similar methods
  • Partitioning, replication, multi-level security, clustering, distributed transactions, OLTP, OLAP, and XML
  • Clones Oracle Applications 11i/12 running on Oracle 11g, 10g, 9i RAC in a Linux and UNIX environment
  • Tunes database instances as needed and implements and enforces security for all Oracle Databases.
  • Performs database re-organizations as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime of the database
  • Develops standards to ensure that all application design and code is produced with proper integrity, security and performance
  • Reviews on the design and code frequently to ensure the site standards are being adhered to
