Team Lead, Payroll Tax Reporting

Position Responsibilities:

  • Directs team members with tasks and questions in the following areas:
    • Auditing all transferee data to ensure proper tax treatment
    • Reconciling all data with client payroll each reporting period
    • Preparing and sending wage requests and payroll reports on time
    • Processing year end updates for all clients and provides accurate relocation tax reports
  • Owns the year process/end W-2 success

  • Assists with creating, testing and rolling out new tools and processes

  • Coaches and counsels staff towards improved performance

  • Conducts annual performance reviews, disciplinary action and terminations

  • Promotes cooperation, cohesiveness, identification and synergy

  • Interviews and screens applicants for open positions and participates in selection process

  • Responds to after hour issues and problems and escalates to appropriate parties

  • Researches appropriate tax law and applies to the Aires’ process

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-3 years of tax and GL accounting experience
  • 2-3 years leadership experience
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • General knowledge of major accounting software packages - Oracle or other ERP software preferred
  • Detail orientated with verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
